The Berd HAWK30 wheelset is an exciting project between We Are One Composites and Berd to deliver a wheelset that is made entirely in North America! We Are One is located in British Columbia, Canada; Berd is located in Hopkins, Minnesota; and the wheels are build using hubs made by Industry Nine from Asheville, North Carolina!
The HAWK30 rims are only 18 mm deep. This unique design yields engineered radial compliance and high lateral stiffness. The combination of vibration damping Berd spokes and our new radial compliant rim means more speed over rough terrain and less rider fatigue.
With a wide 3.75 mm rim lip, Berd's new HAWK30 rims spread out tire/rim impacts across a larger surface area to prevent tire and rim damage during acute impacts.

Technology:
Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) that has 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water. Berd spokes have an improved fatigue life compared to steel and are impervious to the elements.
