The NEW Shimano B05S-RX have a new, updated 5th generation resin compound which lasts up to 50% longer than the previous generation (B03S) & 110% longer than the 1st generation B01S pads. Compared to metal pads, the resin compound is much quieter, generates less heat, and offers more progressive stopping power.
