The DMR Odub is the signature handlebar of DMR pro rider Olly Wilkins, shaped from 20 years of riding and developing bars with DMR. Olly rides everything from dirt jumps to XC and wanted one bar shape that feels familiar on every bike he owns. After testing many options, he settled on a 5 degree upsweep paired with an 8 degree backsweep.

The Odub is built from heat-treated, spiral-butted 7050 aluminium, which adds strength and durability without adding weight, making it stronger and lighter than previous DMR bars. Olly chose alloy over carbon for peace of mind when clamping brakes, dropper levers and shifters. This version gets a vapour-blasted, ultra-matt black finish.

Three rises are available. Olly runs the 65mm rise on his dirt jump bike, the 50mm on his 150mm trail bike and the 35mm on his eMTB. Every rise has passed the EFBE Tri-Test for DH and Gravity use (CAT5), and Pinkbike found the 31.8mm, 50mm rise version to be the most compliant bar in its test.

________
Our thoughts:
The Odub is a proven, no-nonsense alloy bar with a shape that simply feels right. The 8 degree backsweep sits between a traditional bar and the Sweeper, so it suits a wide range of riders, and the three rise options make it easy to dial in front end height on anything from a jump bike to an eMTB. Add the EFBE gravity rating and the compliance that reviewers keep pointing to, and it is a great value upgrade for almost any mountain bike.
