Downhill racing is an exercise in surviving violence, and the Nukeproof Dissent Carbon was engineered to thrive in the crosshairs.

Delivering a bottomless 200mm of travel front and rear, it is a dedicated gravity weapon built to dissect everything from steep local ruts to the unrelenting brutality of World Cup tracks.

Having already proven its mettle by dropping into Red Bull Rampage and standing atop the podiums at Hardline, this chassis was forged in the absolute toughest arenas on earth.

Outfitted with a dual-crown fork and purpose-built DH gearing, the Dissent Carbon guarantees one thing: absolute composure when the trail turns terrifying.

Far from a one-size-fits-all sledgehammer, the Dissent 290c is a masterclass in modular geometry and hyper-adaptability. Anchored by Nukeproof's World Cup-winning Fallout Linkage, a three-position main pivot allows you to toggle suspension progression between 21%, 25%, or 28%, instantly transforming the bike from a plush park sled to a hyper-precise race rig. Up front, an adjustable reach headset dials in your fit by +/- 6mm, while chainstay flip-chips offer three distinct wheelbase lengths to balance high-speed stability against tight-track agility. Nukeproof didn't stop there: a secondary flip-chip in the rear triangle lets you seamlessly swap between full 29-inch or a mixed MX (29/27.5) wheel setup without compromising the core kinematics. Paired with the size-fluid NP1 to NP3 architecture, the Dissent is the ultimate blank canvas for the obsessive tuner.

A World Cup bike is useless if it spends all weekend in the workstand. Nukeproof engineered the Dissent Carbon with a ruthless focus on real-world practicality and privateer reliability. Fully guided tube-in-tube cable routing makes replacements effortless, while massive 2.5-inch tire clearance, a creak-free threaded bottom bracket, and fully sealed MAX pivot bearings ensure it survives the grimmest weather. Integrated fork bumpers protect the carbon headtube, and comprehensive 3D-contoured rubber armor silences chain slap and deflects violent rock strikes. With unified hex key sizing and laser-etched torque specs on every accessible fastener, pit work is lightning-fast and stress-free. Less time wrenching means more time dropping in.

The beating heart of the Dissent is the evolution of our legendary Fallout Linkage, radically refined to balance off-the-top sensitivity with catastrophic impact control. This latest iteration utilizes a high initial leverage rate to absolutely glue the tires to the ground, transitioning into a highly supportive mid-stroke that generates speed through heavy compressions and massive berms. As you near the absolute limit, a carefully engineered regressive phase at the end of the stroke limits harsh bottom-outs, allowing you to use every millimeter of the 200mm travel efficiently. This refined kinematic massively increases traction and makes the shock incredibly easy to tune, welcoming higher spring rates or modern, high-volume air shocks without sacrificing an ounce of suppleness.

The Dissent 290c isn't just a carbon copy of its alloy predecessor; it’s a total composite reimagining. By utilizing a sophisticated blend of T700 and T800 high-modulus carbon fiber, Nukeproof unlocked complex tube shaping and surgically tuned the stiffness, compliance, and strength profiles of every individual zone. While weight savings wasn't the ultimate directive, this optimization still stripped a massive 430g off the alloy chassis, resulting in a significantly lighter, stiffer, and more explosive ride. This manufacturing freedom allowed Nukeproof's engineers to rapidly prototype and iterate, ensuring that every millimeter of the chassis delivers unparalleled feedback, control, and absolute speed on the world's most demanding tracks.
