Our thoughts:
The Monarch is a genuinely well-thought-out saddle. The serviceable design alone sets it apart from most of the competition, and the comfort is legitimate rather than just marketing copy. Throne Foam is supportive rather than squishy, which is exactly right for trail riding where you're constantly shifting position. The hidden hike-a-bike handle is one of those details you don't know you need until you've used it. If your sit-bone width is up to 130mm, the Monarch is a very easy recommendation. The Ti-MX version saves 22g over CrMo and looks sharper, but both versions ride identically.
