Born from World Cup experience, the Pirelli Scorpion XC M is a reimagined approach to cross-country performance. Designed to strike the perfect balance between low rolling resistance and reliable grip, it is built for today's dynamic XC racing, from marathon distances to explosive XCO laps, across hardpack to intermediate conditions. Thanks to the advanced Race XC compound, it delivers exceptional chemical grip, especially in wet conditions. This allows for a lower, more efficient tread design with a compact central channel, optimising acceleration and rolling speed without sacrificing control.

With medium tread height and spacing, the XC M is tailored for confident, fast riding across varied terrain, from hardpack to loose, dry to wet. Whether it is natural trails or man-made obstacles, this tire adapts seamlessly, making it the ideal choice for technical courses where speed and grip must go hand in hand. The ProWALL casing adds a reinforced nylon layer to the sidewall for improved puncture resistance and confident handling at lower pressures.

Developed by Pirelli technicians and produced in Motorsport laboratories, the Race Compound represents the perfect balance between rolling efficiency and control. Tested through countless trials, both in the lab and on the field, and immediately brought to racing, from the World Cup to the Cape Epic, it is the most high-performing compound in Pirelli’s MTB range. Designed to offer maximum control and speed across a wide variety of terrains, it ensures a safe and precise ride in every condition. At the same time, it provides excellent tear resistance, enhancing protection against punctures. Used in a single layer and throughout the full thickness of the tread, without inserts of lower-quality compounds, it ensures performance that remains consistent over time, even as the tire wears.

ProWALL models feature sidewall protection that enhances the puncture resistance and the handling at low inflation pressure. The sidewall is reinforced with an extra layer of nylon that increases the resistance against penetration and cuts while stabilizing the tyre at low inflation pressure for a confident ride over any kind of terrain. The ProWALL is a solid option for XC racing, trail riding and enduro when paired with different carcass constructions, namely of 120 and 60tpi.
