Developed by Pirelli technicians and produced in Motorsport laboratories, the Race Compound represents the perfect balance between rolling efficiency and control. Tested through countless trials, both in the lab and on the field, and immediately brought to racing—from the World Cup to the Cape Epic—it is the most high-performing compound in Pirelli’s MTB range. Designed to offer maximum control and speed across a wide variety of terrains, it ensures a safe and precise ride in every condition. At the same time, it provides excellent tear resistance, enhancing protection against punctures. The ProWALL features a sidewall protection that enhances the puncture resistance and the handling at low inflation pressure. The sidewall is reinforced with an extra layer of nylon that increases the resistance against penetration and cuts while stabilizing the tyre at low inflation pressure for a confident ride over any kind of terrain. The ProWALL is a solid option for XC racing, trail riding and enduro when paired with different carcass constructions, namely of 120 and 60tpi.

The XC RH and XC RC serve different riders within the XC range. The RC is the more well-rounded option with its increased volume and squarer profile, suited to technical terrain and mixed conditions. The RH is the choice when the course is fast and compact and you want every possible rolling advantage. The low-profile central tread rolls noticeably faster on hardpack than a more aggressive pattern would, and the side knobs are pronounced enough to give you real cornering grip without compromising that efficiency on the straights.
